The fashion trend that straight up makes life easier

To all the exhausted moms who don’t have time to wash their hair but still wanna look good…

I’m becoming extremely choosy about my purchases.
I do not impulse shop anymore.
I’m not a random online buyer anymore.

I’ve been the person who buys too many items off the sale rack at Marshalls and then never wears them.

I’ve been the woman who, after such a long day, through exhausted eyes, clicks on that purse or boot or bathing suit ad, hitting “add to cart” to get a hit of dopamine… then been disappointed when the purchase arrived.

I’ve pushed piece after piece out of the way in my closet to get at the three things I actually wear, while guilting myself for “not fitting into those pants”, or “buying too much sh*t”

There’s no room for that woman in this one and only life I get. I can find easier ways to fulfill myself.

I’m longing for that “capsule wardrobe”. The curated selection of items of fine quality that all match each other and make me feel #easyglam (like I look fabulous, and also like I just tossed it on).

Like how beautiful is this?!

The idea of the capsule wardrobe is super appealing to me because it IS in fact an application of Ayurvedic living

In Ayurveda we establish DINACHARYA - a daily rhythm that, when repeated, eases the nervous system and increases our sense of relaxation and JOY in our days.

When I don’t have to put thought into what I’m going to wear, it removes a step. It saves me from having to waste any amount of energy on shuffling through the closet and giving myself grief.

It creates ease.
The thing we all so long for.

And for me, the capsule starts today - with a couple EXTREMELY well-crafted items from the Canadian Clothing brand Peplum co.

the Savannah shorts.

From their website’s about page: “Our looks are fresh, modern and simple, keeping with natural tones. We sew only the finest of linens, linen-cottons and cotton-hemp blends.”

Heck yes you do.

Peplum co makes the kind of quality clothing that you can just toss on with no makeup and a messy braid and feel #instagramworthy in seconds.

Buhbye flat iron and makeup. I won’t miss you.

Are there any sustainable, high-end clothing brands you adore?
